Catwoman Mask

For halloween, I attempted to make a homemade masquerade mask. I was going for a combo look of Anne Hathaway in The Dark Knight Rises (2012) and Lee Meriwether in The Batman Movie (1966).

In order to make this look, you will need a mask, black paint (if mask isn't already black), black glitter (both fine and thick), spray adhesive, black rhinestones, and a glue gun.

I started with a plain white mask that I picked up at Michaels for $1.99. I liked this mask the best because it mimicked Lee Meriwether's mask the best.  I painted the mask black. Allow the mask to dry completely.

While using a spray adhesive, coat the mask evenly in a well ventilated area. Apply a light dusting of glitter. Shake off the excessive glitter. Repeat 2-3 times with both fine and thick glitter to give it a good look.  Allow to dry completely for a couple of hours.

After mask is completely dry, apply black rhinestones around eyes and edges to give a more detailed look.

Complete your catwoman outfit with cat ears, leggings, and black boots. A simple, homemade outfit that ready for a night on the town.

  2. Could we please have a photo of someone wearing the mask as I'd like to see what it looks like on before attempting to make it.
    Thank you
